YOU, THE SEA AND THE SKY – BEACHES OF MONT-ROIG MIAMI

Legend has it that along the coast of Mont-Roig Miami, treasures were hidden and fiercely guarded by corsairs and pirates. A setting far removed from the peace and tranquility that now reign in this corner of the Costa Dorada.

If there is one thing that characterizes the beaches of this area, it is their rich natural environment, making it one of the areas in Tarragona with the most unspoiled beaches.

Another distinctive feature of this 12-kilometer coastline, which includes 10 beaches and 11 coves, is its fine golden sand, the beautiful deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea, and the diversity of its beaches. You can enjoy long walks along the shore on extensive beaches, as well as the intimacy and natural surroundings of the coves. There is something for everyone.

It is worth noting that many beaches fly blue flags and offer all kinds of services to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You will find pet-friendly beaches, showers, toilets, access for people with reduced mobility, nautical lanes, cleaning services, and more. It is important to note that not all coves and/or beaches have all services, so we recommend checking the beach guide provided by the Mont-Roig Miami Tourism Board beforehand. Here are some of the beaches and coves you can visit:

  • Platja dels Lladres: the Miramar beach, a true gift of nature that you can enjoy during your stay at the campsite.
  • Cala Pescador: one of the most beautiful coves, accessible for people with reduced mobility, with toilets, cleaning service, showers, nautical lane, and lifeguard service.
  • Platja de Cristall: one of the most famous on the Costa Dorada, long, family-friendly, and fully equipped. Blue Flag beach.
  • Platja Punta del Riu: a favorite for pets, with daily cleaning service.

“At your red sunsets
My eyes became accustomed
Like the bend in the road.
I am a singer, I am a trickster,
I like games and wine,
I have a sailor’s soul.
What can I do, if I
Was born in the Mediterranean”Joan Manuel Serrat
